DESCRIPTION:From awareness to action:understanding and addressing gender-based violencein research and academia\n4 December 2024\, 15:15 – 16:15 CET\nKlagenfurt\, Austriaand online \nco-organised with the AKG – the Working Group for Equal Treatment Issues \n \n			\n				Register now\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				We invite you to register\, whether you would like to attend in person or online (same registration link). \nExplore the critical findings of the European UniSAFE project in our upcoming seminar session “From awareness to action: understanding and addressing gender-based violence in research and academia.” This one-hour session offers a deep dive into the pressing issues of gender-based violence within the academic sphere\, illuminated by the latest research results. Participants will gain insights into the use of the UniSAFE toolkit and the 7P framework that offers a holistic approach to address gender-based violence. Designed for anyone interested and committed to creating safer educational and research spaces. \nObjective\nRaise awareness about the key results of UniSAFE and strategies for addressing gender-based violence in academia\, using the UniSAFE toolkit as inspirational material. \nWho is it for?\n\nGender equality officers/focal points/equality and diversity officers\nHuman Resources officers\nOmbudspersons\nGender Equality Plan team members\nHealth and safety officers\nHeads of Department/Unit in charge or involved in gender-based violence.\nResearchers and students\nFaculty members\nInterested staff and staff who campaign against gender-based violence (e.g. study program directors)\n\nThe training is addressed to those at the beginning stages of creating and implementing a policy framework to address gender-based violence in academia.  As seats are limited\, priority will be given to individuals at the initial stages of developing and implementing policy to address gender-based violence within their institution and correspond to the profile of participants. Preference will be given to individuals from countries participating in Horizon Europe\, with special consideration for registrants from ‘Widening countries’ as defined by the European Commission. DESCRIPTION:Addressing gender-based violence in academia using the 7P framework\n5 December 2024\, 11:45 – 16:45 CET\nKlagenfurt\, Austria \nco-organised with the AKG – the Working Group for Equal Treatment Issues \n\n			\n				Register now\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Dedicate a day to enhancing your institutional responses to gender-based violence with the GenderSAFE workshop\, “Addressing Gender-Based Violence in academia using the 7P framework”. This five-hour session will provide participants with a comprehensive understanding and practical tools to address gender-based violence holistically in their institutions. Following the presentation of the 7P model – Prevalence\, Prevention\, Protection\, Prosecution\, Provision of services\, Partnerships\, and Policies\, attendees will learn to develop action plans tailored to their institution’s specific needs. Suitable for gender equality officers\, HR personnel\, and (….\,) this workshop combines presentations with interactive exercises\, fostering a collaborative approach to refining and implementing policies addressing gender-based violence.
