GenderSAFE’s Community of Practice to launch in October

The GenderSAFE Community of Practice (CoP) will launch during a kick-off meeting to be held on 15-16 October 2024 in Rome, Italy. 

During this one-and-a-half day meeting, CoP participants will have the opportunity to meet other members, Circle facilitators, and GenderSAFE partners. Participants will explore the CoP’s goals and activities, the different Circles, the CoP online platform, and the ways to contribute to the Code of Conduct development. The meeting will also include several parallel training sessions.

Please note that a limited number of grants are available to cover travel and accommodation costs. CoP participants with limited resources for travel are invited to e-mail cop@gendersafe.eu with a short presentation and motivation for applying for a travel grant.

The GenderSAFE Community of Practice

Active from September 2024 to December 2026, the GenderSAFE CoP will engage in a strategic exchange on current gaps in institutional responses to gender-based violence, using a trauma-centred approach and addressing the continuum of violence. The ultimate goal is to develop and tailor a model policy framework to foster a zero-tolerance approach to gender-based violence in universities and research organisations.
