Training materials
These training scripts, developed by UniSAFE and adapted under GenderSAFE, are designed to support trainers and change agents in delivering capacity-building sessions on gender-based violence in higher education and research. Each script includes guidance on training objectives, formats, durations, target audiences and preparation, along with adaptable templates and materials.
Trainers are encouraged to tailor the content to their national and institutional context while preserving the core messages and maintaining GenderSAFE branding. Translated versions are welcomed and can be shared by emailing: training@gendersafe.eu
How to use these training packages?
Each GenderSAFE training package includes introductory information to help trainers understand the purpose and scope of the session. This usually includes the title, description, learning objectives, profile of participants, duration, format and language. The full scripts provide a detailed training structure with suggested timing, methods, exercises and facilitation notes. Trainers are encouraged to review the full package before delivery and adapt the examples, timing and exercises to their own context, audience and level of experience. Where supporting materials are provided, such as worksheets, case stories, Miro templates or role-playing scenarios, these should be prepared in advance and adapted where needed. Users should also check whether legal, institutional or support-related references need to be updated for their national or organisational context.
